I call that progress. I was expecting bullet holes to appear in both the late and current pope. Is the author of this cartoon Muslim?

I think everyone in the west should riot in the streets, burn effigies of Mohammed, and declare that anyone who insults Christianity deserves death.

But wait, here in the west we believe in freedom of speech, the rule of law, the dignity of the individual, reason, rationality, and introspection.

It may not be PC to say so, but Western civilization is clearly superior to Islamic. Its no fluke that science, advancement, education, and culture are stuck in the Medieval period in the Middle East.

Who knew that Vatican citizens had a right to bear arms?

If a war of cartoons were the only way in which Muslims reacted to their misinterpretations of the papal speech, I'd be fine with that. I'd prefer actual arguments, but I'd settle for cartoons if they can't present argument.

If it weren't for their violence and threats, it really is funny that so many Muslims don't get the pope's point (and neither do many westerners), and that many Muslims are in fact proving Benedict's point with their barbarism. If I could draw, I'd do a cartoon about that.

Killing a dove is a horrible thing, but blowing up innocent people in buildings, women and children in restaurants and stores, and decapitating infidel humans is just fine. I can't wait until their force me to convert.
