Bruce Bawer's new book, Surrender, is a tour de force. Please, do yourself a favor and go and buy this book immediately.

Bawer shows convincingly how the powers that be are appeasing Islam - believe me, this book will make anybody angry. Many of the stories in the book are not new - the cartoons, Pym Fortuyn, Van Gogh - but Bawer weaves them into a coherent narrative that shows the danger we face.

When Bawer starts to dissect the New York Times - well, it's a sad commentary on a once-proud newspaper. Did you know that the Times did not review Bawer's last book? And, that they have refused to review a number of important books on the Jihad (like Bat Ye'or's Eurabia).

His chapter on the Islamic threat to the Gay Community and the response from 'official' gay leaders is important. I wonder how many gay newspapers will be reviewing this book - I suspect very few. And, that is very very sad.
