Heard that there was a recent seal hunt out east on prince edward island or somewhere. Apparently 50 seals were killed or murdered as the typical east liberal media is suggesting. Media reports do say that 3 people were charged.

People who condemn the seal hunt, have likely never been inside a slaughter house. The taking of a life for human food, is ugly. There probably isn't anyone involved in the food industry who would disagree with that. The hunting of game, is usually done away from prying eyes and on an individual basis, so it's harder for animal activists to raise a clatter. The seal hunt is an easy target because it involves large groups of humans, in a wide open space where the activity of harvesting these animals can easily be seen. It is no more gruesome or inhumane than how we kill cows, chickens, or pigs. It's unfortunate that the whole industry and thousands of people have been affected by misinformation.
